Serious Fun.

Didn't these seniors do GREAT!!  For a person who smiles by nature, it's not simple to put on a serious down-to-business face *for a camera* but we had VISION - and we nailed it.  Light, shadow, dramatic & interesting! The seniors were huge helps for each other:  pose ideas, decisive "yes!" or "no", managing the reflector, encouraging each other!! These are now 3'x5' banners hanging in the Skyline High School gym - eeep! fun!!! From a Photographer's perspective, these were a CHALLENGE, and I prayed about it, dreaded it (excited too) when my friend Ali invited me to make the banners this year... I haven't DONE this lighting before, but had wanted to try it... So ... The garage became a studio, with a black backdrop and a single big work light.  My Littles modeled for me to practice light angles & shadows, I did a lot of research ... and ... bam.  I'm so pleased!!  It feels so good to try something new, to lean on the Lord to carry me through, and to feel success... Love these, and impressed with these kids; I am partial to photos that require straight-face acting :)
