Happy Senior Sunday!!
It was such a pleasure to meet Kiran & her parents!! Thank you to Melanie for introducing us!!
Most of my clients meet me through recommendations ~ personal connections are so fun for me ~
We talked in advance ~ a Planning Session on the phone, noting that sunshine, sun flare & backlight with sun drenched desaturated colors are what make the portraits that Kiran loves most!
We started here at Juanita Bay Park at the end of the boardwalk path, by lily pads ~ there was a pair of swans paddling through the lilies on this day! There were a number of people winding through the bridges on this afternoon, most carrying huge binoculars or cameras with long lenses ~ for collecting views of birds!
Since all their eyes were trained away from us, it actually felt pretty private!
Kiran's mum is a dentist for children ~
Kiran is definitely open to medicine, and she openly admires her mum :)
Next stop for us: the Kirkland Waterfront ~ Old Downtown
Then this little spot was a very fun surprise ~ we were walking by an open door and saw... Audrey!
With everything pink and aqua and crystal chandeliers ~
And down to the docks for
sunset
Thank you, Josée Clermont for fabulously assisting us!
The three of us girls had so much fun making these portraits!
and - I love #hairdontcare photos -
I'll take it down if you want me to, Kiran, but I just loved playing with your thick tresses and making this:
And the portrait below sums up our time together!
Thank you, Kiran!
for hopping from boulder to boulder in Lake Washington ;)
for climbing & perching on old wood railings,
for pausing for photos in a fabulous restaurant,
for being vulnerable and collaborating with us to make senior portraits you can love :)
I enjoy your company :)
I'm excited for you to experience
the University of Washington this Fall!!
Congratulations!!!!!
❤️
