That's what I think when I think of Amber :) And I think:
Amber gives such great hugs!
AND Amber wrote a piece about her relationship with my daughter, Zoe, and I seriously cried. I was so touched.
I don't think Amber's brain ever stops running at 100mph -
and her imagination is ... so much fun!
So let's go!
Tonight in the elven forests of Sammamish, Amber is modeling
The One Ring on draping golden chain, with her personal dagger that she 3D Printed at home.
Amber's hair is held in place with a stylin' gold & crystal circlet and
loose tendrils have been hastily tucked behind her XXL pointy ears.
(All the better to hear you with my dear.)
Her look is tidily pulled together with a knit hoodie this evening,
in THE shade for woodland Beings this summer:
Moss.
I think my most asked-for scenario requested by my seniors is a field of tall golden grass, with bright sunshine for airy backlight -
did we do this with Amber?

Amber came to our Amber's house and styled her hair to be just right before we started our photography.
I love that little corduroy dress, I think it fits Amber so perfectly!
Our next look was PNW - complete with evergreens & flannel :)

Let's talk socks
Amber has been so involved with the huge Eastlake Band family -
all kinds of percussion
snare drum, bass drum, crash cymbals, marimba, timpani, orchestral bells,
vibraphone, chimes, xylophone, tambourine, suspended cymbal, SLIDE WHISTLE, siren whistle, gong, cabassa, shakers, maracas, bongos, congas, ocean drum, hi hat, China cymbal, finger cymbals, and…
the vibraslap.
The variety, humor (vibraslap??) & staccato beats + blurring sweeps -
kind of reminds me of Amber's percolating ideas in her mind :)

between the field & forest next to my home
& the forest park adjacent to Amber's home.
Both of us know both areas very well.
I think Yoda is around here somewhere... near the x-wing wreckage...

In the deep dark forest near Amber's home,
We needed a little light.
Amber's denim jacket is her display for souvies!
Why hide them away in a box?
This girl has been through so much this year -
there are some common times in life when weird mystery issues pop up physically for a lot of people
ahem - like age 40 -
but other people have all kinds of crazy hit them in their teens.
Amber is one of those lucky few.
She has missed a crazy amount of school during this, her SENIOR YEAR,
and Amber's Mom, Annette, was actually hired by Children's Hospital this year to help new doctors & nurses at Seattle Children's to understand the patient experience - because after Amber's year, Annette knows the ins & outs of being a parent at our local world class hospital alllll too well!
The docs figured it out,
and Amber & her teachers made her high school classes work out,
and her future is looking good!!!
Amber is headed to WSU in September! for Engineering.
