Jax ADORES his grown-ups, can you see it? He is a kick! He asked for some shots of "just Mommy & Daddy" (he watched expectantly as I clicked away, and when satisfied, he ran into the picture too), and he asked Grandma to please join him for a picture (great idea, Jax!) This is just an early sneak peek at his family - I am happy to announce that mor...

Shruti and Tanaya were delighted to indulge me by posing in their beautiful flowing sarees. I love the dynamic between mother and daughter as a child grows up, with Mama holding on just enough and letting go just enough. This was the first time Tanaya had worn a saree. Shruti enjoyed the wardrobe changes as much as her daughter did - how fun! - A g...

Barbara is so adorable! She is tiny and sweet and a widow of several years, and she modestly doesn't like her smile (!) Her blue ring, necklace & matching earrings were a gift she bought for herself. She has children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Can you just not wait to see them?? There are a lot more Converse sneakers - click here!

I love a surprise, and I was surprised by the vibrant colors at this beautiful double birthday party. Two sisters celebrating, 20 girls wearing party dresses, 10 women dressed for the occasion - I was basking in color and didn't want to stop clicking. Following lunch and cake, all the girls were enthralled with - a surprise! Ice cream flash frozen...

This is just a delightful sneak peek - a day in the life of these 4-7 year olds as they prep for and then d...

What a family adventure! On Father's Day, we warned our children that "adventure" implies surprise negative events that need to be overcome by the hero. Then we set out with good friends and Grandpa Bob to bike the 20 mile, gentle gravel railroad grade from Snoqualmie Summit to Rattlesnake Lake. 100 yards into the trip we lit our headlamps and ente...
