The Millers call themselves a Baseball Family - and at the time we took these photos I didn't even know the 1/2 of it! Eldest son is on an All-Star team that is speeding thru the play-offs, hoping for a potential berth in the Little League World Series this summer (wow!) Lots of fun with these kiddos & family:

I so enjoyed my afternoon with Sam and Edith. I loved listening to the stories of when they were young. I liked stories of exploits that earned Sam his bronze star in Army Intelligence in World War II. I loved finding this treasure of a photo of them from 60 years ago. The 9 11 Memorial greatly impressed me emotionally. Water arcs from thousands of points, and thousands of individual names are cut deeply into the metal rim. Rainbows everywhere. A pretty green pool. A second square hole into complete blackness. I felt helpless. I wanted to stop the pretty water from flowing down the blackness but I can do nothing.
