I'm tottering on rocks in the river, using 3 points of contact, or 4 or 5, and Sarah is laughing & leaping from boulder to boulder, totally free from concern :) I look up to admire her ease, and then I'm back to searching out my next solid step! No matter, I love photo shoots on the rocks in the Snoqualmie River! Stunning. My senior on this day, Sarah, loves turbulent rivers and our beautiful northwest, she loves powder snow in the mountains, and her confident look is fantastic in a casual very-northwest way.
Sarah's photo shoot had started 2 hours earlier with complimentary hair and make up with Hannah & Phoebe at Gene Juarez in Redmond.
Then it was off to the river to catch the sunlight before it retired behind the hills.
Sarah spent most of her life in Ellensberg. Perhaps in homage to the country life, her second site was an old farmyard & field. The sun was setting and the light was gorgeous near my friend Keri's beautiful old barn in Fall City:
Sarah played basketball many years until a back injury sidelined her - and for the first time, as a senior, she has taken up cheerleading for Skyline High School - from what I have seen and heard, I definitely get the feeling Sarah looks at challenges as opportunities! Sarah, I loved photographing you, and I am looking forward to praying for you as you navigate your senior year and make your big decisions for what's next!! It sounds like... perhaps... a little more of this in Montana next year:
