Goodbye, Seattle! Family Photos at Pike Place Market

Shay is a visionary!  I really enjoy the way she decorated her Sammamish home - when I walked in, I felt like I belonged there :)  Her family has since packed it all up (or sold it all!) after 11 years, to move back to Boston, her & Brian's hometown.  However, to Riley, Aidan & Maeve, Sammamish is home!  The entire family has loved their years here, in the greater Seattle area.  So Shay's vision was a "Goodbye Seattle" family photoshoot with iconic landmarks, to create large & striking wall art & memories in their new Boston home.

And she packaged her vision into a MOTHER'S DAY REQUEST!  Brilliant!  Shay's husband & 3 teenagers were in Seattle at 6am, looking good! Doin' it for Mom!

As an artist, I LONG to see my photographs as WALL ART!  BIG! REALLY BIG! So as Shay & I brainstormed & sketched out our plan in advance, I was over the moon.  Our shoot went well, they saw the proofs -  And then Shay's family gifted this to me - I mean, to her - this is what we made, printed on three 20 x 30" metal panels with a matte finish.  A total width of nearly 5 feet on the wall - ooooh! Goodie!!  I can't wait for to "see" it on a Boston wall when Shay sends a pic:

Next up in her Mother's Day gift, Shay would like photos of her 3 teens.  Riley is now an Eastlake High School graduate, Aidan will be a Junior and is excited to continue rowing in Boston, and Maeve wrapped up her stint as ASB Prez at her middle school and gets to start high school soon(!)

Speaking of Jo, want to see Jo doing her thing?

Shay "won" this photoshoot by putting all her raffle tickets into one pot for this prize! Yay! Thank you, Shay!  All her raffle ticket purchases directly funded Athletes for Kids, a local Sammamish group that pairs high school athletes with younger kiddos who could use a friend.  Find out more at this link:  Athletes for Kids.  The charity event was held at Sasquatch Crossfit in Redmond (located in Sammamish as well).  Sasquatch Crossfit held a morning of free come-one-come-all-and-try-our-workouts classes for the greater community, and they recruited local businesses to donate raffle prizes to benefit AFK.  I've seen evidence of SC workouts in my lovely friend, Jo - she is strong!! And has endurance, that's why she carries my equipment when we hike up to waterfalls and across rivers by hopping boulders :) Thank you, Sasquatch Crossfit owners & managers for holding this raffle event :)  All about Sasquatch Crossfit here:  Sasquatch Crossfit.

(Shay, it was tough but I left out all the bloopers, those are just for you guys, )

And Jo was clutch - taking video clips of behind-the-scenes moments to spice up our Session Movie, thank you Jo James!  Our movie:

I am grateful for all of you, our clients, and I can't tell you how much fun Jo and i have with you!  Shay and Brian were so encouraging and fun, I'm thankful to have met them *just* before they moved across the entire country!  Now we have (more) friends in Boston :)
