Grad & Gone!

Vinny graduated from Skyline High School in June ~

so he is now grad & gone & immersed in his real-life-brick-and-mortar-sunshine-and-classrooms

college experience at Claremont McKenna College in SoCal :)

But this was our time,

just before his high school graduation in June...

We began the (very early) morning with expert barber, Alex Ishmatov. Alex is on Instagram, @alex.ishmatov :)

Then we toured Sammamish for our photos ~

Vineeth was preparing to say goodbye - he wanted photos in his hometown,

nostalgia before leaving the lush PNW for the sun & city in California ~

We started at Pine Lake Park :)

Vinny's parents & I had brainstormed ahead of time, sharing ideas that we would particularly like to try.

Instagram and Pinterest are beautiful sources for photo inspiration... it is amazing to absorb the beautiful ideas worldwide. Sudha had seen a portrait posted by @khalidalameri on Instagram, black & white profiles of his family, and he posted how he loves that portrait. And Sudha and I loved it. So we were inspired to make one with Sudha and her boys, too :)

I also love the walking photos that are much more candid, and Kalyan really likes that idea as well, so we went for this idea, below, as we continued our Sammamish tour at the City Hall area, just across the street from Skyline High School:

I particularly wanted black and white athletic portraits of Vinny. 

He will throw discus for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Track & Field.
