Zoe already had a host of FUN straight-face awesome UNEXPECTED images posted on her Instagram, so I could SEE how she likes to play, with images & attitudes & expressions & clothes & IMAGINATION ~ Zoe is all about being playful :)
At the beginning of our afternoon...
we met with Corey T at the Gene Juarez Salon & Spa in Redmond.
From there, Zoe & Mom Brenda drove the
Zombie Outbreak Response Vehicle
to Snoqualmie Falls Park, the lower parking lot. There is a gorgeous boardwalk stretching from this lot to the incredible Snoqualmie Falls - but THAT incredible area is well protected against trampling photographers and fun-loving river play, and we were more interested in being IN the river than simply admiring the view, so we used the downstream boulder field where that churning snowmelt rushes through, post-Falls :)
Outfit #2, the gown! This swirling dress was purchased with the sole PURPOSE to be photographed in this shoot, even if it was destroyed in the process (Zoe is a very good shopper!) so we were free to twirl and swirl & climb and cavort ~
Oh my goodness!
I was in photographer heaven!!
unpredictable pixie?
daring princess?
or... Wife of MacBeth??
Which dramatic role would Zoe choose?
There are mischievous depths to those brown eyes!!
Next stop, next outfit :)
Monochromatic?
Ivy of SnoFalls Lavender Farm has a Zoe-sized yellow rose TREE adjacent to her home.
We were welcomed to photograph with the yellow as well as with the lavender, and we purchased yellow roses to bring to the river :)
Jenny & Ivy Cheung's small business is the you-pick SnoFalls Lavender Farm in Fall City :)
I have been so blessed to photograph here in the past as well (click here to see)!
Zoe's summery yellow frock was whimsically ideal!!
:D
And now, "golden hour" is available for reservation :)
Literally: Brilliant!
The sun is sinking - darkness is creeping along the path -
This moment brings us to...
The Zombie Outbreak Response Team:
Zoe's commitment to her cause is emblazoned like pure truth across hood, door & rear of her jeep (black as the witching hour) ~
People. Zombies are out there.
Someone needs to step up and - just - Thank You, Lord, for Zoe. And for her mother. And for her grandmother.
But don't think that the enemy takes this -
lying down...
The ghouls get revenge through haunting Zoe's property each year... on October weekends... Please use caution... the links are... screamingly hair-raising:
Haunt of the Woods - Scare Edition
^ See Zoe unfortunately zombified at 8:05
NEXT!
DEFENSE is in her BLOOD on the field as well as in the woods: Next we paid honor to Zoe's love of playing GOALIE!
Keeper Zoe :)
And below is Zoe's mum's favorite of all our portraits:
Zoe laughing :) With skeleton goalie gloves. Seems entirely appropriate!
Then, our finalé portrait!
In the gentle eddies of the Snoqualmie River at Fall City
In the periwinkle Ball Gown
w/ a smattering of falling rose petals ~ (thank you, props-person, Zoe's Mum Brenda!)
I had a blast with Zoe, pure jolly good fun ~
I FEAR a wickedly good time at her haunted property this year ~
and I am so grateful to the Lord for the clients He has blessed me with ~
THANK YOU :)
