I have known Thomas for years, he is a big fan of his younger sister, Natalia, who used to shoot hoops with my Joy at recess in elementary school ~ and then they played select basketball together in middle school! We both cheered Natalia through high school and on to #1 in State 4A Championships in 2023. Video of amazing semifinal finish click here, Natalia is white #32

Thomas has had his own victories during that time, and I am pleased to have been a witness!

He went through an incredible musculoskeletal surgical & rehab progression to physically change the shapes of his legs and one foot for more mobility ~ and via Facebook he documented it all for his family and friends in Sammamish, Seattle, Columbia & Puerto Rico.

Can I get a witness? That’s me! I looked forward to each update.

Love this SUIT!
Thomas purchased it in Columbia, where his father grew up, and had it tailored perfectly.

During his time at UW, Thomas has made many friends and has helped make changes for the good on campus that will benefit many people for many years to come ~ he has been in a unique position with the personality to bring issues into public awareness, to basically seek justice, combined with a physicality that makes him aware of obstacles that most of his peers may never notice ~ while to other peers, those barriers can deny access to the education UW wants to offer.

Thomas taught a class, mentored high school students, has volunteered for social movements to bring awareness to barriers, and worked on campus to make UW more accessible for ALL people!

I had a great time reading your most recent post. You have a talent for breaking down difficult concepts into something that is clear and simple. I've already forwarded this to some friends who may find it useful. Again, I want to thank you for always producing high-quality content!

Your personal narrative struck a chord with me. Writing so honestly requires guts, and I have no doubt that many readers will feel less isolated as a result. I will undoubtedly be keeping up with your upcoming posts.
