Bella's Center of the Universe ~ Senior Portraits in Fremont

I loved my invitation into Bella's loves & life!

She decorates her room with fairy lights & band posters and her bookshelf is full of treasures. As we are deciding clothes for our Photography Session, so many items have fun meaning. One outfit we planned to use but had to delay was her Red Hot Chili Peppers T with her collection of friendship bracelets packed with encouraging memories. Perhaps we will use that outfit with her cap & gown photos in May :)

Bella introduced me to Daybreak Records in Fremont.

An open air vinyl record shop, meticulously curated, colorful & inviting.

Thank you, Daybreak, for welcoming us in with our (non-intrusive) camera ;)

She & her Dad, Paul, love attending concerts together including bands of the late 80s & early 90s. They have a pristine Nevermind Nirvana LP at home that they purchased here at Daybreak. I remember the momentum of Seattle grunge from the perspective of living in the PNW ~ it was natural and built in / coming from the culture of the time, and it was wild that the sound was being picked up worldwide in those days!

I had heard of "Selena" but didn't know anything about her and Bella filled me in on some basics :)

I was thrilled that Bella & Paul chose a Queen LP for their Daybreak purchase on this day :)

We found a little book mecca planted right in the middle of Fremont:

All the nooks & crannies & small spaces & staircases & such friendly people ~ this is a gem,

and I returned with my daughter, Zoe, a month later :)

I love the colors in Fremont ~

It was a gift for Josée (my very good friend and trusty photo assistant) & I to explore one of Bella's favorite places with her!
