my lovely time with Liette :)

I believe I have known Liette since she was 3?

Liette's family and my own joined a small group at our church, Pine Lake Covenant, and I just loved the way her mum, Josée, eagerly asked and shared about her experiences with the Lord, all the questions that overflowed her heart ~ My husband, Tony, told me after that first meeting "I think you'd really love getting to know Josée" ~ and he was right!

Right now, in these present times in our lives, the dates I most often make with Josée are photoshoots 😆 ~ she assists by just being with me ~ she is nurturing & business-like at the same time ~ adoring & encouraging each subject and constantly scanning for stray hairs, crooked collars, accessories arranged just right ~ & finding where I put my lens cap 😆 to make every Photography Session its very best. Josée's movie clips add so much to our Session Movies ~ she has an eye :) Josée made black & white photos of my youngest when Sasha was a babe. Josée sees the curve of the nape of my babe's neck, the curl of hair, the eyelashes - Josée has a beautiful eye.

I'm glad that Liette was good with her mum coming along on Liette's own shoot.

Every client gets to choose ~ do you want it to be just me & my assistant?

or would you like a parent / friend to come along for your Photography Session as well?

I felt so satisfied while hanging out with Liette to make some fun senior portraits!!!

Is that a funny feeling to have? Satisfaction? Maybe because I see Liette the way she is now, as a grown kid, a young adult, and I get to spend the afternoon with her - and remember the tiny Little from so long ago :)

Our location was carefully chosen: Sweet Blissful Blooms in Fall City,

Josée had pre-arranged for photography time amongst the flower rows.

This is the flower farm you see from the Fall City roundabout

across from the baseball field / historical hops barn / river tubing takeout.

Floral design for weddings & events + wholesaling.

There is a small parking lot and a little red flower shed with bouquets & loose blooms for sale.

Angela will probably be there :)

Knowing Liette's looks in advance lets my mind imaginate (my daughter Joy's word) our session while scouting potential locations in advance ~

Liette's nails & her makeup with the dahlias were so perfect!

And such a pleasure to find pretty spaces to showcase what Liette loves right now...

It makes me happy that Liette likes this thoughtful moment as well as the smiles.

And then we entered the field that Liette had chosen...

& the golden light was gorgeous, soft & transient...

What is next for Liette??

GRADUATION!!

& on to college!!!

so your heart will pound with excitement & adventure AND you'll know you are safe in His arms as you follow Him!
