Oh my goodness, what fun ideas my clients bring :) Grace has been my muse for years now, see her first shoot (with horses!), and Grace's Sweet 16 Photoshoot, and now her Senior Portraits :) Grace attends Bellevue College through the Running Start program at Eastlake High School. She intentionally keeps in touch with friends at EHS and attends events / dances. She also has a tight-knit youth group at Pine Lake Covenant Church, and she really enjoys all the friends she meets from across Washington State through Youth and Government each year. In YaG, students throughout the State bring their brains to local issues, develop ideas for solutions, and form "bills" which they bring for debate when all the YaG representatives gather at our State Capitol in Olympia in May. One of the many student bills will be considered by our Washington State Legislature, so their stakes are real! This has been an empowering and hugely fun activity for Grace, and thus, her choice for Senior Portrait location was our State Capitol in Olympia :)
Senior Portraits with Jeannine Pound Photography in Seattle We started the morning with Kelly Douglas at Olympia Hair Company for hair - it was conveniently located blocks from the Capitol. And Grace did her own make up! camera-ready, cheery & bright :)

There's nothing like playing photo booth in public, on stage, at the very top of the huge staircase of the State Capitol Building :)

Inside the building, I could visit the chambers where our state Legislature makes decisions - and so do the Youth & Government delegates! Grace does not mind - er - she ENJOYS public speaking!! oh my!

I like to think of the artists who placed the stones and chose the patterns :) I love how Grace's dress shows up against the grey patterns:

And because your photoshoot is YOU, we had to go RED for Grace's lips - quite patriotic as well, I love these:

I love hearing about Grace's interests, her friendships that encourage her, school plans, college ideas, Youth and Government, family - It turns out she's not thinking about a future in public office (not thinking that way at this time, anyway!) but she is amazingly diplomatic in her conversation anyway, I think that it takes a talent to keep positive words at the tip of her tongue. Grace is sharp & God-loving & insightful into people's motives - she is funny and silly and motivated and confident and very human and she laughs - she trusts the Lord and can laugh at the future (Proverbs 31). It feels great to know this girl :) Video at bottom:
