Jon - The Bear Creek School - Class of 2019!

I love meeting friends of friends through photography... I think God made me so that getting to know people lights up my life :):   Jon decided who to hire for his senior portraits based on a referral from Javier, whose son, Daniel, went on a Seattle photography adventure a couple years ago, see Daniel's session here.   I love hearing how each individual would like to be photographed - Jon didn't even consider larger-than-life Seattle City Life or glory-filled lighted baseball fields at night for his portraits, and chose the forest, Snoqualmie River, huge boulders, and oldtown Snoqualmie.  Portraits in his Growlers baseball jersey were made in a quiet old town alley:

So, I have only spent a few hours with Jon so far, and I know he has all kinds of unfolding parts of his personality that are not visible at the surface, but he reminds me of a good solid friend of ours.  The strong, silent type.  That's a really rare type of guy, are you lucky enough to know someone that fits that description?  Where then river runs deep - under a smooth surface?  Faithful friend.  Intimidating physique.  Quiet when others are holding forth :)  Gives an honest well-felt laugh - only when something is really funny!  Steps into the conversation when there is room and space for that deep, quiet voice & his thoughts - and only when he's got something to say :)   It might be just coincidence, but both our friend, Mike, and Jon share an ability with a pen.  (or keyboard!)  Mike writes books, nothing published yet, but he plans to, some day.  I happened to see a certificate on Jon's dinner table announcing that he had won an essay contest - he had written and submitted his work without his Dad evening knowing he did it :)

Jon unpockets a Rubik's cube that looks so small in his hands.  Says he has entered competitions - that has been a lot of fun, and thought we could incorporate it:  Why, yes!!

What a lot of people see when they look at Jon:

Now that you say it that way!  No worries! Going with his own style :)

Ending with this little clip of Jon's Photography Session:   Jon, I'll be praying for the Lord's deep love to be felt by your heart this Senior year, and all through University - I so enjoyed meeting you.
