I SO ENJOY repeat clients! Like Jon's family!
Jonny had a lot to live up to, I mean, THIS was pressure, I mean, his big brother is my cover model - not just for a sample album showing off portraits I ❤️ but Jon's big brother is THE cover model for my STYLE GUIDE. And he's all over the inside of it too. That's like, having your older sibling score straight As and graduate valedictorian and the teacher knows who you are before they met you because they liked HIS work. How was Jonny going to hold up???
I loved how we made this Jon's own - I mean, his shoot was completely different from brother's, and Jon rocked it his own way :) yeah, i must have just made all that up about pressure ^ what? pressure? Jonny don't care! We went hiking!
^ This is Snow Lake :) ahhhhhhhhhhh.... peace & serenity....
although i think there may have been a barbaric YAWP!
or 2 or 3... echo echo echo
Jon LOVES the great outdoors! I am betting he is out there now ;) His whole family is woodsy - Jon's mom, Denise, hiked with us - Hi Denise!! - and I was hearing about stone water slides and all these tremendous places I have yet to BE! - VERY inspiring. Like an REI ad :)
Jon nearly split a portrait session with his good friend Zach. Zach's rock climbing - I mean - senior portrait session here. I'm very glad we did his own, though, it would have been fun either way but this way I got to know specifically what Jon likes best :) This was my first time hiking to Snow Lake, one of his all-time favorites, and I am grateful :) The entire hike was astounding.
A viewpoint where we stopped:
Jonny's hike was in the Fall. We achieved the serious goal of attaining a senior portrait for the yearbook ✅ But y'know, he wasn't going to actually graduate until June... so... in the Spring, we made some more :) This time, we were in a picturesque block of Redmond, with the walking path, near Molly Moon & including the crumbly old brick and black accents of Matador.
This HAT was Jon's Great Grandpa's - and we so enjoyed including it :)
Jon's hair was cut & styled just before his Spring shoot, by Jo at Gene Juarez Men in Bellevue. Jo has a talent for knowing just how to shape a man's hair to fall into place naturally. Way to go, Jo!
The black door in the old brick wall on the street side of Matador is one of my favorite places to shoot :) This is why :)
Jon, I'm glad you were good with using me for your photographer!
I'm looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for you!
I'll be praying for loads of His peace as you're movin' on movin' on this Fall!!
