I do enjoy escapades in the city - this time, Grace toured Pike Place Market & the waterfront with me. She had affection for the area because she had recently played the tourist there with her boyfriend :) And we also discovered picturesque corners that neither of us had tried before.
Usually, I like to make our hair & makeup fun photographs in black & white, to block out any color distractions...
but Hannah and her studio are color cohesive & pretty, peaceful & beautiful just the way they are!
And into the city :)
The entrances for the Pike Place Market Parking structure are on Western Avenue.
The shops along Western Avenue have made this road quirky fun with bright colors ~ a perfect place to start!
The old brick walls lining Post Alley are favorites of mine!
So great to support the Pike Place Market vendors!
Local Color :)
I'd like to go back to the Hillclimb stairs between Pike Place & Western to photograph each of
he modeled them after friends of his, and they are each in plain sight but you need to have open eyes to spot them all :)
Grace is off to Whitworth University in the Fall!
She has already completed a couple years of general requirement courses during her Running Start at Cascadia College ~
and while there, she enjoyed sparking and planning social occasions for that student body ~
I'm sure Whitworth will be blessed by her imagination & project management skills in similar ways!!
I'm impressed by you, Grace :)
Grace's mum, Kim, was part of a women's bible study I was part of for several years post-college, in Seattle,
during those very formative parts of our lives when we were seeking the Lord intently during many big life decisions.
I can't tell you how the Lord strengthened me, and blessed me including with these friends for life, these witnesses of my journey :)
I was thrilled to reconnect with Kim one year ago and make portraits of Grace at 17.
Session Movie for Grace's Senior Portraits:
Congratulations, Grace, on finishing & beginning :)
