I am so grateful to my past clients & friends who recommend my little biz online or over coffees with acquaintances ~ this is how I meet such fun people who I may not have opportunity to photograph otherwise, including Alex!
My first meeting with Alex was still prime COVID time, so we met in his backyard living area, with the toasty fireplace & covered deck, with beautiful greenery all around ~ which suits him!
A lot of the words & thoughts that came up during our Planning Session were things like: rustic wood, metal structure, patina, boulders, bridges, river, rapids, forest, old growth, alpine, lichen, granite… polaski axe!
We settled on 3 locations we could use for variety within our 3 hour Photography Session. The weather was rather stormy in early November, so I was grateful for the block of several days we had reserved to be sure this could happen without TOO much precipitation (!)
We started with his haircut at Gene Juarez in Redmond:
& then to the 100 year old hop shed in Fall City for our rustic authentic solid timbers:
& then the boulders & dense forest of the Snoqualmie River :)
Sometimes you find a clothing brand that fits your personal style perfectly. Most of Alex’s favorite outfits for his senior portraits are
Fun fact about Alex's family: they own a guitar collection - some interesting pieces too! Fun with this one:
Alex's family enjoy each other and I loved the stories and the teasing between them. I enjoyed learning about Alex's Service Project in a local park & earning his Eagle Scout Rank. The camaraderie between him & his Dad was obvious and the love of the outdoors is strong in both of them. Alex's Mum is fun-loving and determined and she has the devotion of her boys & husband; they have a loyal & fun dynamic ~ so much fun to witness.
CONGRATS on your Class of '22 graduation, Alex & !!!!!
