Lauren!! Congratulations!! Class of '23 Woot! woot!

This shoot was such a pleasure for me!!

After getting to know her very outgoing big brother, Anthony, nearly 3 years ago for his senior portraits, I was so pleased to work with Lauren's Dad, Phillip, to make headshots for the City of Lake Forest Park mayor & city council ~ red, white blue & green! And all this time I have heard about Lauren, and that some day I would meet their sister & daughter, Lauren, and I've had it on my radar that I would get to meet her finally for her grad portraits!!

We sat down in Lauren’s kitchen for our Planning Session

and I immediately felt a connection because we both love Disney and Pirates of the Caribbean:) This came up while we were perusing portraits that I love on my Pinterest Inspiration Board ~
and Lauren was selecting portraits that stand out to her, and we talked about what she liked about them ~
the outfit? The expression? The colors? The lighting?

It was very apparent that we must have flowers ~ and dresses ~ and flowing fabric :)

And after the discovery of our mutual Pirates joviality, her corset was definitely in order :)

but we refrained from acting out the scene of the damsel plunging into the water ~

The week of our shoot, Lauren had her outfits ready to go, and on the afternoon of our portrait session we started at home with hair by Gretchen Delusky and makeup with Kelli Strok. And we whisked Lauren away to Sweet Blissful Blooms in Fall City, where the dahlias were blooming…

It was a short jaunt to the lower parking lot of Snoqualmie Falls. There is a beautiful thick forest -

and the river :)

I love the boulders in this area.

And I love girl's best friend joining the party!

At this time of night, the still parts of the Snoqualmie reflect the trees and colors of the evening sky -

Lauren graduated on June 8th!!

From the Woodinville High Medical Professions Academy :)

The school sounds amazing - already at the end of high school, she is well on her way to her profession, nursing - and she will continue the journey at the University of Washington this Fall!
