Ben & Marisa have just been pronounced Husband & Wife ~ see the previous blog post ~ & the party is just beginning! The newlyweds took a few private minutes to savor the moment and realize how their lives have changed. Then they made their Grand Entrance from the "cabin", beneath the lights...
... to open the beautiful feast catered by CG Public House of Kennewick and featuring a separate creation by cooks (& friends of the family) Greg & Gregg: their BRISKET was mmmm- savory amazing goodness :) a highlight of the meal :)
Games & activities were everywhere during Ben & Marisa's reception,
even a visit by miniature donkeys for the kids!
Plus "Mr. & Mrs." corn hole
& giant jenga ~
& guest collaboration painting a canvas of memories in brushstrokes for Ben & Marisa,
The white tent was beautiful with seating for all
Party favor place cards were created by Marisa's Mum, Lauren: homemade jellies with various (sometimes personalized) levels of spicy hot peppers :)
The exquisite rustic chic cake by Kerri's Cakes
Toasts & Speeches! Ben's Best Man, Gavin:
Marisa's sisters & Maids of Honor, Kara & Julia, introduced new lyrics to a classic Italian love song...
Dr. Wickerath & Dr. Titus -inspired lyrics
but were... corrected / interrupted... mid-song...
by a classicist -
You MUST watch THIS,
I was dying, I loved this interruption...
(THANK YOU so much Dave Davidson for contributing this phone-video!)
Bud & Jim each toasty-roasted their kids!!
And Popi took his turn!
& Marisa thanked Eduardo for all of his help with all the wedding prep:
I loved the roses & birch round for the simply delicious cake & cupcakes by Kerri's Cakes
And as the sun began to set,
Ben & Marisa moved to their outdoor dance floor :)
Floor installation & string lights & white tent & tables, etc., were all set up solidly by Bear Event Services.
Our Entertainment Plus Disc Jockey was ON IT with the sound & music throughout.
I am so looking forward to video from videographer AWolfey Productions, but meanwhile, our first dance from my perspective:
Father Daughter time?
Sedate & Classic?
Let's get this party started!
Mother & Son dance - it is rumored that Bernadetta found this layered perfection dress at Nordstrom :) Love how it flows!
And with that, our guests are called to action :)
Let the night begin!
Hmmmmm..... which guests will tie the knot next????
Let's find out -
We dance :)
Eventually, everyone moved closer to the music :)
Under the tent:
Thank you to my dance partner & 2nd photographer on this night, Jean Nissen (ne'e Webster, a newlywed herself!) who kept me dancing instead of only photographing & reminded me to eat and drink and did not allow a single piece of equipment to be left behind! You were awesome!
Ben & Marisa are not going to have a grand send-off and leave the party ~
they are going to dance until the night is through ~
I am SO HAPPY for B&M!!!
And their families :)
My heart is still so full from just participating in this day ~
I'm looking forward to completing their wedding album :) :) :)
