My good friend Kim connected me with Kjell's family ~ Kim and I have so enjoyed making her daughter's portraits, one session at home on their farm, and the other at the waterfront in Seattle :) I received a phone call from Kim one afternoon - she was in a car with her good friend, Teri, and Teri's son, Kjell - Kim introduced us to each other above the cacophony of the road, and wow! we were on our way to making plans for senior portraits!!!  Can I mention how I love meeting people via recommendations!! I so love all the people-connections :) I visited Kjell's home soon after, and we sketched out his many ideas came up with a plan for his super fun and personalized shoot! 

I was so intrigued with Kjell's first idea - 1910s-style photographs with a model of the Titanic he had put together :)

We decided on his pea coat for an ocean-going look,

and found contemporary photos of the Titanic's owner, architect & captain to inspire us :)

Kjell's mum, Teri, is a hair designer, so Kjell's hair was 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 for his photo day!

I am so grateful for the adventures I get to enjoy alongside my clients, getting to know each family and making friends along the way.
